If your teacher doesn't have anything for you to work on at the moment, you are expected to:

• Talk to students in that class
• Leave the classroom; free period for you!
• Read (IR or other book)
• Sleep

This is NOT a class where you can do your homework every day--it's not study hall.  If you do work on homework instead of reading, what kind of homework can you work on?

• Homework acquired during the day before you got to Related Arts
• Homework that you didn't do last night

If you overhear anything about another student, what should you do?

• Ask the teacher for details or more information
• Ignore the information and don't repeat it
• Tell other students what you heard
• Confront that student with the information

What happens if you are goofing off, causing a distraction for the teacher instead of helping the teacher, have a negative attitude, or barely complete things you are asked to do?

• Removal from the class (schedule changed)
• Nothing, you can do whatever you want
• Your grade will improve
• You will get several warnings and chances to improve your behavior

If you are removed from the class, Dr. Hawley will inform you, but who do you have to speak with before being reassigned?

• Mrs. Pearce, our principal
• Your friends
• The office personnel
• ISS instructor

How often are grades recorded in Power School?

• Every other day
• Daily (it's a daily grade)
• Weekly on Fridays (its a weekly average)
• Every two weeks

Since you are not doing pencil and paper work for this class, your grade is configured using all of the following EXCEPT:

• Ability to follow directions
• Attitude
• Work ethic (how well you complete task and take pride in your efforts)
• Number of jobs completed each week

On a normal day, can I leave early from my job placement?
(some students have to travel to gym or their team is far away from their job placement)
*This doesn't mean when you are called out by the office--that is always ok

• Never, under NO circumstances
• If your job placement teacher says it's ok
• Yes, just pick a time that is good for you
• If another student wants to leave early and meet up with you, it's ok to leave

What are you required to take with you to your placement EACH day?

• Tennis shoes
• Paper and pencil
• IR book or something to work on if there are no jobs for you to complete  (happens occasionally)
• Cell phone

Does everyone make an A in this class?

• Yes!  Don't even worry about it!
• NO, lack of effort CAN RESULT in C's, D's or F's!
