• Plug it in to charge for the next class. 
• Let the cord hang of out the cabinet so the teacher can plug it in.
• Wrap the cord up, and secure it with a tie
• We don't put microscopes away in this class. 

What should be done to prepare a microscope for storage?

• Rotate the nosepiece so it is on the low power objective
• Adjust the nosepiece and stage so they are as close as possible
• Replace the dustcover
• All of these things should be done before storing a microscope
