There were 2 basic types of graphs mentioned in the reading.  What were they?

What are these 2 types of graphs used for?

• Numerical data

Under what circumstances are bar graphs particularly useful?

• If you don't understand how a pie graph works
• When you need to compare 2 or 3 independent variables on the same graph
• When very few of the data values repeat
• Pie graphs are always more useful.

Sometimes, pie graphs are difficult to create.  Also, comparing 2 different groups with pie graphs isn't ideal.  The differences are difficult to see.  What is the alternative to a pie graph?

• When there are a small number of categories.
