Which of the following is the better summary for the return of Shark Week?

• For one week every year, the Discovery Channel features Shark Week. While its original purpose was to raise awareness for sharks, it has lost its purpose and is now more entertainment-oriented programming. It should be criticized for airing programs mainly just to do with the Great White Shark for the sake of views and popularity. Unfortunately, Shark Week has too many shows like Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives, Shark of Darkness: Wrath of Submarine, Monster Hammerhead.

• Shark Week is an annual, week-long programming block created by Tom Golden on Discovery Channel which features shark-based programming, real and fictional. Held normally in July or August, Shark Week was originally developed to raise awareness and respect for sharks. Since then it has evolved into more entertainment-oriented programming. Shark Week has also attracted criticism by airing programs mainly just to do with the Great White Shark for the sake of views and popularity. It is the longest-running cable television programming event in history.

When some people think about Texas, they think of cowboys on the open range-herding cattle up a dusty trail. However, Texas has much more than open prairie with large herds of cows. There are the mountains of West Texas, the piney hills of east Texas, and the emerald waters off the coast of Padre Island. Texas also has large coastal harbors with numerous sailboats, powerboats, inland lakes, rivers, swamps of southeast Texas with alligators and other exotic wildlife.
