Classroom Expectations

Students are allowed to enter the classroom when

• we want to 
• the tardy bell rings
• all previous students have departed and Ms. Kelso welcomes us in
• before she gets mad

Ms. Kelso's talking to another student and while we are working independently, I have a question. I should

• raise my hand and wait patiently
• ask my neighbor because they can help me faster
• yell her name so that she knows I'm next
• just guess and try to answer the question to the best of my ability

If I use my cellphone or iPad inappropriately in Ms. Kelso's class, she will

• give me a zero on the assignment
• contact my parent
• take the technology
• all of the above

Being prepared for class means

• having work completed
• having supplies and IRWN every day
• having my iPad charged and ready
• all of the above

A kid in class is bothering me, but Ms. Kelso didn't see it.  I should...

• punch the kid in the nose
• yell and threaten to beat them up
• cuss them out 
• raise my hand and quietly ask for assistance

Fighting and profanity are automatic

• Office referrals
• student, teacher, and parent conferences
• detentions
• verbal warnings

I got hit up on social media during class . I go to the bathroom to send one back and Ms. Kelso walks in. She will...

• fuss at me

• jump in the Snap and say "Hey!"

• take my phone

• not do anything. She's cool like that.

My teacher, Mrs. Greenwall, lets me eat Takis and have a drink of water during her class.  Can I do that in Ms. Kelso's class?

• No! Never! Don't think about it!
• Only if there is a class party.
• Yep!  Ms. Kelso likes snacks.
• If she doesn't see me eating them, she won't know.

Ms. Kelso is out today and has a substitute teacher.  How should I treat that sub?

• However I want.  I run this class.
• It doesn't matter.  Ms. Kelso won't really know what happens when she is gone.
