What is Matter? 

• Tiny particles that make up matter
• Anything that has mass and takes up space-Solid, Liquid,and Gas
• Particle that is made up of multiple types of atoms bonded together
• Material made up of shapes

What is Gas?

• A loud sound
• Something that fills up a container
• A state of matter which no fixed volume and does not have a fixed shape - moves quickly and not close together
• A funny sound

What is a Solid?

• A state of matter which moves slowly, has a definite shape and volume with molecules which are tightly packed
• A mixture of states of matter
• Temperature and pressure

What is a Liquid?

• A state of matter with loosely packed molecules that flow freely, with no fixed shape but does have fixed volume
• Anything hard
• Air and Gas

What is Property? 

• Matter
• The force that stops movement

• A characteristic of something.

What is Friction?

• A lot of movement
• When something gets hot
• A force that stops movement
• Going Fast

What is Transfer?

• Moving something from one place to another
• Running around the school

What is Conduction? 

• The process of heat transferring from one object to another
• Directing someone
• Heating things up
• Watching something grow

What is Convection?

• Moving of solids
• Counting objects 
• The transfer of heat through liquid or gas
• Moving Fast

How is heat measured? 

• Time
• Glass
• Scale 
• Temperature
