What is "development?"

• An improvement in the quality of life of a country over time including income, health, life expectancy, education, participation
• Economic growth leading to higher levels of income measured using GDP only
• how babies turn in to children

What is Gross Domestic Product (GDP)?

• How happy people are
• How much a country produces
• Literacy, life expectancy and income per person
• How much aid a country receives 

What is included in the Human Development Index?

• Healthcare spending, Imports and Exports

What impact did free trade have on India over the past 30 years?
