If a man has concealed in his house a lost slave belonging to the Palace or to a subject, and has not brought him or her out at the proclamation of the crier (the person looking for his slave;) the owner of the house shall be put to death.

• If you hide someone else's slave and you do not give them back when asked, you will be put to death.
• If you have a slave you will be put to death.
• If you have a slave in your palace, you will be put to death

If a man is subject to a debt that bears interest, and a high flood has carried his crop away, or because of lack of water he has not produced corn in that field, then in that year he shall not return any corn to his creditor.  He shall not pay interest that year.
(A debt is something you owe someone)
(A creditor is the person you borrowed from)

• You do not have to pay interest to your creditor.
• If a flood or drought happens and you cannot grow your crop, you do not have to pay your debt that year.
• If a flood comes or a drought comes, you have to pay your creditor more interest.

If a man has destroyed the eye of a man of the gentleman's class (the upper class,) they shall destroy his eye.  If he has broken a gentleman's bone, they shall break his bone.  If a man has destroyed the eye of a common person or broken the bone of a common person, he shall pay with a piece of silver.  If a man has destroyed the eye of a gentleman's slave, he will have to pay the owner of the slave half of what they paid for the slave.

• If you hurt the upper class, your punishment is the same as what you did.  "Eye for an Eye"
  If you hurt a common person you pay for the damages.
  If you hurt a slave, you have to pay half the slave's price.
• If you hurt a gentleman, commoner or slave you will have your bone broken and have to pay with silver.
• If you hurt a gentleman, you need to pay for damages and if you hurt a commoner or slave, you go to jail.
