Near the gulf waters you can see marshes, barrier islands, estuaries (where salty sea water and fresh river water meet), and bays. As you travel west, you can see prairies and grasslands.

The most Northern Region of Texas, making it slightly differ from the others. It has hot summers, but they're not as humid. They have light winters with more snowfall (but still not that much) than the other regions. It has moderate rain too with rare droughts.

Has very flat land that is usually dry. It is covered in broad grassland and few trees.

The land is not completely covered with, but has some farming areas.

Even though this Region of Texas is covered with plains and flat land, it still has breathtaking landforms. There is the Palo Duro Canyon, the Llano and Toyah basin, and the Llano Estacado. Their are also major rivers like the Canadian River, and the Pecos River.

This region of Texas is the smallest region, but it still has some interesting places. Two major cities are El Paso and Presidio.

The Guadalupe Mountains is a point of interest in this region, having it be the largest mountain range in Texas.
