Why do we have rules for the classroom?

• Because the teacher said so.

• Trick question we don't have any.

• So that you can learn, so that I can teach and to ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment.

• Rules are a requirement for society.

What does T's up mean?

• Eyes on teacher, voice level 0 and T's up.

• Talk the loudest as possible.

• Eyes on teacher, voice level 2, and T's up

• Eyes on teacher, voice level 1 and T's up

How do you enter the classroom?

• Voice level 2, talk to classmates before beginning bell ringer.

• Voice level 0-1, greet the teacher, grab materials begin bell ringer.

• Wait until after the bell rings and then grab supplies

• Just stroll on in.

Can we chew gum in class?

• Never, its a school rule.

• Only on Fridays.

• Only if you have an A in my class.

• Chew it anytime.

What happens when we violate the rules?

• Nothing.

• Strictly just call home.

• Letter grade goes down.

• Warning, one-on-one talk, lunch detention/call home and office referral.

How do we exit the classroom?

• Bolt out as fast as you can.

• Make sure area is clean, put away materials and wait for dismissal.

• Just wait for teacher dismissal.

• Stand by the door.

Where do we get materials? 2 answers

• From the drawers in the front of the class.

• We don't get supplies during class.

• The teacher will hand out supplies to all students

• What are supplies?

How do we ask to go to the restroom?

• Have agenda out, raise your hand for permission- only have 5 times per quarter.

• Just raise your hand and ask for permission.

• You can leave whenever.

• Only within the first 15 minutes and last 15 minutes.

When do we sharpen pencils

• In the middle of instruction.

• After the bell ringer.

• Before class starts or with permission from the teacher.

• At the end of class.

What do we do when we are absent from class to make up work?

• Whatever, school does not matter

• Check in with teacher, Microsoft Teams or email teacher for extensive absences.

• Wait until the last day before the quarter ends to check in.

• Email your counselor or Mrs. QT.
