What is Wastewater?

• wastewater it water that has been touched by humans

Is it better to have a bio-indicator in a narrow range or a wide range of conditions?

• a narrow range because the range of water quality you can find is more specific so less testing is necessary

• a wide range because it lets people test the water more so that they know it is really clean

How does the temperature affect bio-indicators?

• The temperature can freeze or fry the animals and life in the water that the bio-indicators are in

• Many bio-indicators will die if the temperature is really high, certain animals and life won't be able to survive if they are used to cooler temperatures.

• Many bio-indicators will die because of fast changes in the temperature that are too bad for other wildlife

• Certain organisms can only live in a certain range of water temperature. If the temperature changes quickly, there will be more/less of certain animals that need a certain temperature range.

Why does the water quality matter?

• if people litter and breath too much air the water gets polluted
