Why are we doing an 8th Grade Community Project?

What is one of the reasons the IB has 8th graders involved in a Community Project?

• To give you something difficult in your last year of middle school

• So you can demonstrate responsible action through, or as a result of, learning.

• To raise awareness about homelessness.

• To prepare you for high school.

Why is it important to keep a process journal for the 8GCP?

• It organizes your thinking and research over the 4 months.

• You are supposed to write in it everyday.

• It is like a diary.

• The teachers make you keep one.

Why do you need to upload abstracts from your process journal to ManageBac's JOURNAL tab?

• Because they look neat and organized in ManageBac.

• Because your mentor teacher and supervisor will grade you based on this evidence in ManageBac

• Because your teacher is making you do this.

• ManageBac is fun to use.

Why did we use the UN's Sustainable Goal for our 8th Grade Community Project?

• They are easy to memorize
