What is a procedure?

• A procedure is up to you.

• A procedure is a way of doing something and is expected to be followed.

• A procedure is something to argue about.

• A procedure is a suggestion.

Why do we have to follow procedures?

• To make sure you know who is in charge.

• To make more work.

• To have something to argue about.

• To make life easier and less confusing.

Do following procedures affect your grade?

• No. It doesn't matter

• English is mostly about procedures.

• Part of English is listening and yes, it is part of your grade so simply following procedure is an easy way to keep your grade up.

• No because not following the rules is cool.

SFHS has a cell phone policy. Classroom teachers have one to. This class is expected to:

• Answer their cell phones even if we are in class.

• Turn your cell into the box or go to the office.

• Leave it at home.

• Keep it on you in case of a family emergency.

If you do not follow the cell phone policy, what may happen?

• It will result in disciplinary actions.

• It doesn't matter, you can do whatever you want.

• It may effect your grade.

• You can argue and disrupt class with no issues.

What is a "do now"?

• It is not graded

• I can choose to do it or not.

• Done with a friend

• A quick assignment that you are to do as soon as class starts.

When do I give homework?

• Every day

• Once a week

• Only if you do not complete the work in class or have been absent

• Never

Can I go to that bathroom and get water whenever I want?

• Take care of your needs during passing periods only.

• Try to do this on your time but if you need, take a pass and write your name and time you leave/return down.

• I can leave class for 7 minutes or more without security being called.

• If I have a medical issue that requires frequent breaks, I DO NOT need a doctors note.

Do I need a pencil?

• Yes. You are high school students. Please have at least 1 pencil with you for class.

• No. Supplies are free. Take what you need.

• If you need to borrow a pencil, return it when you are done.

• Never come prepared for class.

What is a consequence?

• Something that never happens.

• Something that happens after I do something that I shouldn't.

• A reward.

• Lots of fun.
