The conditional tense tells...

• what one *would* do under the right circumstances

• what one *will* do some day

• what one may or may not be doing at any given moment

• what one did yesterday

To form the conditional tense...

• add an ending to the infinitive

• chop and swap

• remove the ending and replace

• just leave it alone

-They would like to travel to Paris

• -Les gustaría viajar a París

• -Les gustarán viajar a París

• -Les gusta viajar a París

• -Les gustó viajar a París

-I would go, but I am too tired

• -Yo iría, pero estoy muy cansado

-You would eat, but you don't have time.

When do you use the future tense?

• to talk about things that happened in the past.
• To tell someone what to do.
• To talk about things going on right now.
• to talk about things that will happen in the future.
