When the bell rings to begin class what should you be doing?

• Running in from the hallway to race to my seat.

• Be in my seat starting my bellwork.

• Chatting with my friend because she has a new boyfriend.

• Talking to the teacher about my homework.

When is the best time to use the bathroom?

• During class so you can meet your friends and chat.

• Only before school and after school.

• Only during your elective classes or CAE.

• During lunch and passing periods (between classes).

Where do you keep your phone during the school day?

• Your phone should be off and put away. Out of sight all day.

• On your desk next to your Chromebook.

• You have to leave it at home and never bring it to school.

• It doesn't matter it is up to you.

When you enter the classroom where should you put your head wear (hats, hoods, scarfs etc.)?

• You can leave them on your head.

• You should bring it up to the teacher.

• You need to remove it from your head and not "mess" with it during class.

• Hats are not allowed on campus at all.

How are you dismissed from class?

• Line up by the door and talk with your friends until the bell rings.

• Hang around in class so you can talk with your best friend and then run out last minute.

• When the bell rings jump up and quickly leave so you have more time with friends.

• Remain seated until the teacher dismisses you. When you are dismissed push in you chair and leave quietly.

What are the rules related to gum? (This privilege can be revoked at any time.)

• Chew gum silently, do not ask others for gum during class, throw it away in the trash.

• You are not allowed to chew gum at all.

• Chew gum loudly, blowing bubbles and popping the gum.

• You are only allowed to to chew peppermint gum and not bubble gum.

What is the expectation when someone (student, guest or teacher) is speaking to the class or table group?

• Have side conversations quietly with your neighbor.

• Continue working on your assignment.

• LIsten to whoever is speaking and give them your undivided attention.

• Ignore them and put your head down.

After the teacher dismisses you at the end of the class, how should you exit the room?

• Leave your belongings so you can hurry into the hallway to chat with your friends.

• Just hang around the room and then rush out at the end to run to your next class.

• Push in your chair, gather your belongings and quietly exit the room.

• Run out of the room as quickly as possible.

If you are permitted to go to the bathroom during class, what is the procedure?

• Ask the teacher for permission and then sign out on the monitor sheet and the hall pass. Go directly to the bathroom and sign back in when you return.

• Just leave the classroom and take your time.

• Ask the teacher for permission and leave quietly to the restroom.

• There is no procedure, you may not go to the restroom, ever.

During a fire drill, what is appropriate behavior?

• Run out of the door in any direction that you feel comfortable. Go out and stand with any teacher on the field. As long as you are out of the building.

• Wait in the classroom for the principal to release out of the building. If he takes a long time just be patient her will get to you.

• Exit the building with your teacher, running as fast as you can. when you get outside act like it is recess.

• Quietly and calmly walk to the designated area. Stay in line with your class and remain calm and quiet. Wait for the all clear and calmly re-enter your class.
