What do you do when you're finished with a paintbrush?

• Throw it in the sink

• Put it in the brush cup

• Rinse it and then put it bristles-down in the brush cup

• Wash it out until the water runs clear, then put it bristles-up in the brush cup.

How do you use watercolors?

• Pour water over the top of the trays so the paint gets all melted.

• Only put a drop or two of water on top of the color, then paint with that water. Adding too much water makes a mess and wastes paint.

• Dig your brush down into the colors to get more color.

• Fill up the whole tray with water and paint with the messy water when all of it spills everywhere.

Why don't we break and throw our art supplies?

• If we break them, they won't be here when we want to use them.

• Art supplies are hecka expensive so if we waste them all, we won't have anything to work with?

• Breaking and throwing things is wasteful and dumb.

Where do you put colored pencils when you're done with them?

• Back in the clear box they came from, then put that box into the bigger box.

• Leave them on the table.

• Throw them all into whatever box is nearest.

What goes in the sink?

• Nothing. Paintbrushes should be rinsed off and put back into the paint brush cup bristles side up. Cups should be rinsed out and stacked on the side of the sink. Paper towels should NEVER go into the sink -- only the recycle bin. Watercolors should never go in the sink -- this ruins them!

Who is responsible for cleaning up at the end of art class?
