What two items do you cream together?

• flour, baking powder

• all the wet ingredients

• butter and sugar

What temperature should the butter be at?

• Very Cold

What should the cookies look like once they are baked?

• Golden brown, especially around the edges, but slightly underdone on the inside

• dark golden brown all the way through

What should you do immediately after these come out of the oven?

• transfer them to a cooling rack

• leave them on the pan to cool

• let them cool for 5 minutes then gently transfer to a cooling rack with a spatula

• tap the cookies hard and transfer and leave them on the pan

How do you measure vanilla?

• Pour a splash into the wet ingredients

• Use liquid measuring cup

• Use measuring spoons

How long should you microwave butter if it isn't softened?

• until it is completely melted

• for 10-15 seconds (just until softened)

• for 30-40 seconds

When should you preheat your oven?

• just before putting the cookies in

• as soon as you get to class

What can happen if you make the butter too hot?

• Nothing, Its supposed to be very hot

• It will scramble the eggs

• It will melt the chocolate chips
