Hills High School is pleased to announce that the 9th annual Hills High School Choir Madrigal Dinner, presented by the Choral Parents Association, will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria B side.

The cafeteria will be transformed into a Renaissance era castle banquet hall serving a home cooked pasta meal. The Madrigal Players will present a 15th century-style skit in period costumes with music provided by the Madrigal Choir composed of Hills students.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and can be purchased with a credit card or reserved online at www.nhchoiranddrama.net or by calling the Hills Center Office at 412-318-1438. Seating is limited, so reservations are strongly encouraged.

Erick Thohir was born on 30 May 1970. His father, Teddy Thohir, was a co-owner of the automotive group Astra International with William Soeryadjaya. His brother, Garibaldi Thohir, is a banker and entrepreneur in the energy sector. As a child, the younger Thohir helped the family business.

After earning a bachelor's degree from Glendale University, California, Erick Thohir stayed in the United States to continue his study at California State University (CSU). In 1993, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the university.

Returning to his homeland, Erick Thohir apparently had to try his business alone. Although he came from an entrepreneur family, his father did not allow Erick to work in his company. Erick Thohir pioneered his business career by establishing the Mahaka Group, a media company with his three colleagues.

In 2001, Mahaka acquired the Republika Daily. Besides his father guidance, Erick Thohir also learned from experienced mentors, namely Jakob Oetama from Kompas and Dahlan Iskan, the Jawa Pos boss at that time. Mahaka bought and re-published Indonesian Daily with the headline Sin Chew-Harian Indonesia. Under the guidance of Erick Thohir and his friends, Mahaka Group was growing rapidly.

In 2011, together with Anindya Bakrie, the co-owned the television stations tv One, as well as the internet news site Viva News. In 2014, he became the President Director of ANTV. In 2019, he becomes the minister of own-state Company of the Republic of Indonesia.
