I believe there is a huge responsibility in adapting the number 1 best seller novel. The book awas certainly popular and everybody worships this work of Adrea Hirata. To be honest, I didn't expect anything too spectacular from the movie.

Laskar Pelangi is no doubt one of the best Indonesian movies. I beats the Denia: Senandung di Atas Awan and Ayat-Ayat Cinta. It is a 5-star masterpiece in Indonesia. The movie depicts social and educational issues in Indonesia particularly in remote islands. It also strongly declares that everyone needs education and be educated. There are a lot of life lessons offered by the movie.

I can't stop saying that Laskar Pelangi is a marvelous film. As a matter of fact, i can't name a flaw! The casts are perfect as many of them are leading and famous Indonesian actors and actresses. But another dreary, depressing feel once again must we see on this movie as Dumbledore fall from the attic after being Avada Kedavra by his trusted man, Severus Snape aka the Half-Blood Prince.
