AR verbs

Verbs have many forms. Even in English.

The dictionary form of of a verb is called the infinitive. In English, the infinitive always has the word "to".

TO TALK, TO WORK, TO COOK --> these verbs are infinitives

I'm shy. I don't like to talk. --> infinitve is used in this sentence.

At noon, I talk with Dad. --> talk agrees with the subject I

At 5:00, he talks with the cats. --> talks agrees with the subject he

Changing a verb to a form that matches the subject is called "conjugate". Every tense (past, present, future, progressive, etc.) has it's own conjugation rules. In Spanish 1, we concern ourselves with the present tense conjugation rules only.
