How to Spot Fake News

• See if your chair can support your weight

• Click the links provided in the article or on the website. Determine if the info given actually supports the story.

• Support the website by making a donation.

When you Ask the Experts___.

• See what your friend says about the site.

• Ask a librarian, or consult a fact-checking site.

• Ask the neighbor.

When you Check your Biases___

• Consider if your own beliefs could affect your judgement.

• Only read the article if it confirms what you already believe

An article written in ALL CAPS, and that has Poor Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation ___
