According to Mike Taras, the most important thing to remember about moose and bears is

• give them lots of space

Maintaining your body temperature is very important for survival. Our guests this week said all of the following except:

• Most people can survive about 3 hours at the wrong temperature.

• There’s no excuse to be cold - keep your body moving!

• You don't feel frostbite when it's happening. You feel it when you start to warm up.

• Keep all of your layers on, even if you get too warm.

Most Americans can survive three (a)   without food.

One of your best tools for survival / safety is to always have a (a)   with you!

We received a lot of good advice from our guest presenters this week including:

• Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.

• Try to stay dry!

• Take a whistle and a trash bag with you when you go on a hike.

• If you're lost, stay in one place!

• Eat energy gels every day.
