• To perform routine maintenance/calibration/testing of system or equipment

• To perform critical repairs work on faulty system or equipment

• To maintain ‘healthy’ system/equipment operational when there is a fault condition being rectified

• To allow continued operation and maintenance activities of associated system/equipment
