Getting started on BandLab

A 'loop' on BandLab is:

• a ready-made pre-existing ostinato (a short repeated phrase)

• the name of a band

• the name of a woodwind instrument

The ruler with numbers at the top of this picture shows you:

• seconds

• minutes

• bar numbers

The triangular shape in the picture is the:

• stop button

• record button

• play button

• rewind button

In the loop library, you can narrow down your choices by

• genre

• instrument

• musician

• pitch

Before you finish working on a project you should always

• Delete it

• Save it

Each horizontal line on the mix editor is called a:

• line

• part

• track

• instrument

If you make a mistake you should:

• panic

• ask someone for help immediately

• click the 'undo' button

If the loop library disappears you should:

• panic

• ask somebody for help immediately

• click the 'loops' button on the bottom right of your screen

To add a loop to your song, you should drag and (a)   it onto a new track in the mix editor

To repeat a loop, you click the top (a)   corner of it in the mix editor and drag it to the right
