What are the goals of the class?

Participation in this course will help you to:

• Learn to invest in stocks.

• Develop teaching ideas appropriate for integrating economics and financial literacy into the middle and elementary schools

• Appreciate the role of economic education in preparing young people to live in our modern world.

• Understand economics concepts and their relevance to your daily life.

• Become familiar with methods and materials for teaching economic concepts to elementary students.

We have a flipped class. This means that you will do most of your preparation individually so we can do activities in class. Which of these is NOT important?

• Regular attendance - contact me with issues.

• Completion of weekly mastery learning exams.

• Completion of weekly Connect and Assess assignments.

• Reading of weekly news articles.

• Weekly social media assignments.
