Gapped Text - A Greedy Boy

Kok Keong did not like school. He always played truant and often loitered near Pak Osman's orchard.

One day, while walking to Pak Osman's orchard, he saw some rambutan trees along the road. The rambutans were ripe. (1)________________. He badly wanted to eat the juicy fruits.
