• That Bob deserved what he got, at sticky end! He was a wrought less drunk, who deserved such an ending!

• Cherry's freedom to now go and date Dally. She did mention to Ponyboy that she fancied Dally.

• The notion that Johnny received retribution for Bob's earlier attack on him, and strength/courage to save Ponyboy's life.
