1. Bill is Proposed

2. title of bill is read and passed to a committee for further study ( 1st reading)

3. Bill is debated on the floor ( 2nd reading)

4. Bill is voted upon ( 3rd reading)

5. If approved, bill is passed to the other house

6. Bill undergoes three readings

7. Bill is passed to the President

8. If president approves the bill, he signs it and bill becomes a law
