The constant rocking of the boat woke me from my sleep. I rolled out of the small cot I shared with my sister and made my way up to the main deck. I held onto the railing and gazed out at the endless waves on the Atlantic. I felt better in the fresh air and was glad to get out the crowded, hot space below the ship. Still, I couldn't help but wonder if we would ever see land again. I hope this Mayflower ship can make it all the way to the new world!
