Parts of a Sentence

A complete sentence has two main things:

• Subject and predicate

• Predicate and verbs

• Object and complement

Subjects can be:

• Pronouns, verb to be, people

• am, is, are

• Animals, people, or things

• Linking verbs, name of a person, animals
