മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും തെക്കെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ബെന്യാമീൻ ദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ ചുറ്റുവട്ടത്തിലും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ആടുകൾ എണ്ണുന്നവന്റെ കൈക്കു കീഴെ ഇനിയും കടന്നുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

In the towns of the hill country, of the western foothills and of the Negev, in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, flocks will again pass under the hand of the one who counts them,’ says the Lord.

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.

അവർ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ദൈവം അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ താൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദൈവം അനുതപിച്ചു അതു വരുത്തിയതുമില്ല.
