To solve a problem you must first:

• analyse the rpoblem

• generate potential solutions

• take action

• define the problem

Brainstorming is

• where a group of people try to come up with lots of creative ideas to solve a problem

• where staff members are encouraged to disagree with each other and create conflict

• where there is no need to be creative and so staff members take it upon themselves to work in groups

When brainstorming it is a good idea to:

• ask everyone involved

• have a mixture of 'right' and 'left' brain thinkers

• provide solutions that are quick fixes

• narrow the solutions to a few

After you try a solution, you should

• it should solve the problem

• review the solution at the timeframe specified

• stick to the solution steadfastly

• reflect on your choice and see if it was the best one

Critical thinking is:
