Why did Gatsby fire all his servants?

• The servants were stealing priceless valuables, including Gatsby's car.

• He was afraid one of the servants would spy on him. So, he took no chances and fired them all.

• He wanted somebody who wouldn't gossip because Daisy comes over quite often in the afternoons.

• The servants were on strike, and demanded more pay. But Gatsby refused to pay them more, so he fired them all.
