3A Past subjunctive

The past subjunctive is used mainly in multiple-clause sentences that express states and conditions such as will, influence, emotion, commands, indefiniteness and non-existence.

The past subjunctive (pretérito imperfecto del subjuntivo) is formed using as a stem the preterit of the third person plural ellos dropping ending –ron and adding the past subjunctive endings: -ra, -ras, -ra. -ramos, -rais, -ran-
