What is a friendly letter?

• It is a type of correspondence in which the writer expresses gratitude for a gift, service, or opportunity.

• It is written to share news about events in life, and ask questions to the person the letter is being written to.

• It lets people back home know that you’re having a good time and that you miss them.

The five parts of a friendly letter are...

• title, introduction, body, comments, conclusion

• heading, greeting, body, closing, and signature
