Black Feminism

• The political, economic and social equality of the sexes

• A political, economic, and social belief system and identity that highlights the ways gender, race, capitalism, etc. intersect and impact individuals and the community.

• A social belief system that highlights how sexuality and class intersect impact individuals.

Intersectionality

• An individual's multiple identities.

• An individual's racial identity.

• An individual's socioeconomic identity.

Misogynoir

• The specific and simultaneous experience of sexism and anti-blackness that Black women and girls face.

• The specific and simultaneous experience of sexism and anti-blackness that Black men and boys face.

• The specific and simultaneous experience of sexism and anti-blackness that Black boys and girls face.

Reproductive Justice

• The right to parent your children in safe communities.

• The right to bodily autonomy but with no choice in child bearing.

• The right to personal bodily autonomy, freedom to have children if desired, and to parent those children in safe and sustainable communities.

Reproductive Rights/ Freedoms

• The legal right to see a healthcare professional about any issue in the body.

• The right to have a reproductive system.

• The legal right to access reproductive health care services like abortion and birth control.

Autonomy

• Having a weak sense of self.

• Self-directing freedom and moral independence.

• Having a person make decisions on your behalf.

Abortion Access

• Legal access to abortions and birth control.

• Legal and safe access to abortions.

• Access to abortions from anyone.

Sexual Health Education

• The instruction of issues relating to human sexuality, including emotional relations and responsibilities, human sexual anatomy, sexual activity, sexual reproduction, age of consent, safe sex, and sexual abstinence.

• The instruction of issues relating to LGBTQ rights, laws, and history.

• The instruction of issues relation to the reproductive system (including its accessory organs and their maintenance), birth control, and reproductive rights.

Reproductive Health Education
