The Bible Story in 2 Kings 4:1-7 tells us that a widow has become poor after her husband passed away. She is worried about something.

What was the widow worried about?

• She does not have anybody else that she can rely on.

• Her husband owed money to a man and the man is coming to take her two sons away.

• She would not have anything to eat, and she would be starved to death.

The widow cried out to Elisha and told him the problem.

God helped Elisha know how to help the widow. The widow has nothing but only a small jar of olive oil.

What idea did Elisha give to the widow to help her?

• The widow can beg for money from her neighbours.

• The widow can sell the small jar of olive oil to Elisha, so she can get the money to pay off the debts.

• The widow should collect empty jars from the neighbours and fill them with oil from her little jar.

The story tells us that God did a miracle for the widow.

What is the miracle of the bible story?

• God did a miracle to the creditor, so he has changed his mind to not take the widow’s sons away.

• God made so much oil flow out of the small jar that the widow filled the first jar and God keep made more oil in the small jar till all the jars were full.

• God made so much water come out from the woman jar, so she filled all jars with water then sell them all.
