Commutative Property of Multiplication

• Changing the grouping of numbers will not change the product

• Changing the order of the factors does not change the product - the order of the factors being multiplied can be changed.

• Changing the order of the factors changes the product

• The order of the factors being multiplied can not change

Associative Property of Multiplication

• You can only regroup if there are four factors

• Changing the grouping of three of more factors will change the product

• Changing the grouping of three or more factors will not change the product (factors can be regrouped and the product remains the same)

• You cannot regroup without changing the product
