What is editing a document?

• To make look beautiful.

• After typing in text you may want to chage some portions of text is called editing.

How you can select text ?

• The selected portion gets highlights that you have to edit. You select using mouse and keyboard.

• By right clicking

Selecting

A block of text ? One word ? One line text ? Paragraph?

Entire document?

• 1.Drag the mouse over the text.

  2.Double click on word. 3.Move the pointer to the left of the line. When the cursor shapes to right pointer arrow , click it.

  4.Triple click in the paragraph.

  5. Move the pointer to the top left. When cursor shape changes to a right arrow, triple click.

• Just double click.

• It's come by own.

Selecting

1 character to left ? 1 character to right ? Text from position to beginning ? Text from position to the end ? The entire document?

• 1. Shift + Right arrow.

Adding new text + Steps

• To just add.

• You can insert a new text at any point in existing document.

  1.Put the cursor at the point where you want to add.

  2. Start typing the word. The new text gets added.

About deleting text.

• Just delete it

• Hold cursor the the word or sentence will be deleted

• There are to delete characters.

  1. Delete - removes the right character.

  2. Backspace - removes the left character

Steps to copying and moving text.

• 1. Command used - copy and paste.

  • Select text that to be copy.

  •Click on copy in clipboard group in home tab.

  •Then click on paste option where you want to insert it in clipboard group in home tab.

  
  

  2. Command used - Cut and Paste.

  • Select the text.

  •Click on the cut option.

  •Then click on the paste option.

• Just sit in front on computer.
