Etiquette:

• is a type of snail.

• means eating all your vegetables.

• means to have polite behavior.

• means to dance gracefully.

While you are in the theater you may do this with food:

• Eat all the snacks you hid in your pockets.

• Chew gum, it's not food.

• Do not eat or drink in the theater, it's poor manners.

• Quietly open your bag of chips.

While in the theater you should do this:

• slide down the rails, they are long and it would be fun.

• walk, and hold on to the railings when walking upstairs.

• skip, hop and jump.

• hold hands with your friends and swing your arms.

Once you are in your seat,

• yell to get the attention of someone sitting far away.

• sing loudly.

• speak softly to the person next to you.

• look around, if other schools are talking loudly, you can too.

Proper etiquette when sitting in a theater looks like this:

• slouched down so that your head is barely visible.

• feet up on the seat in front of you.

• criss cross applesauce on the chair.

• Sit up straight, legs on the floor, but not on the seat in front of you.

If your seat is in the balcony you can:

• stand up, no one is behind you.

• lean over to get a better look.

• throw something down to a friend.

• None of the above.

Do not take pictures in the theater because

• You will not be able to get a good picture without standing.

• It is distracting to the performers.

• You don't have your phone anyway and who owns a camera?

• All of the above.

When the lights dim in a theater it means:

• The show is going to begin.

• Someone is playing with the lights.

• It is time to go to the bathroom.

• You should finish your snacks.

When the lights dim you should:

• Sit up and look straight ahead.

• Stop talking.

• Stop whispering, that's considered talking too.

• All of the above.

If you have an emergency

• you should stand up and announce the problem.

• whisper to your chaperone or teacher what your problem is.

• write a note and pass it down the aisle.

• just get up.
