The Tennessee Writing assessment may be 1 of the following 3 types of essays:

• explanatory, narrative, or argument

• persuasive, descriptive, or informative

• descriptive, persuasive, or expository

• personal, persuasive, or explanatory

The TNReady Writing Assessment is a timed writing test that students must type. How many minutes will each student have to unpack the prompt, read and annotate the passages, prewrite, draft, revise, edit, and publish?

• 60 minutes

• 80 minutes

• 85 minutes

• 90 minutes
