Did you know that an armadillo is really a mammal? Armadillos are the only mammals with hard shells. The hard shells, or bony plates, cover their backs, heads, legs, and tails. Their hard shells even helped name them. The word armadillo means, "little armored one" in Spanish.

Which text structure best describes this paragraph? In many countries around the world people are unable to find clean water to drink. Clean water is necessary for a healthy life. One program called The Water Project is taking matters into their own hands by digging wells in Africa so that locals can have clean water. Both authors enjoyed writing fun and imaginative stories that have helped millions of children love to read. While these authors have much in common, such as their writing had been inspired by their childhoods, there are also many differences as well. One difference is that Roald Dahl was a British author who joined the Royal Air Force while Dr. Seuss was an American writer who went on to college.

Read the passage: There are many theories about why the dinosaurs vanished from the planet. One theory that many people believe is that a gigantic meteorite smashed into the Earth. Scientists believe that the meteorite was very big and that the impact may have produced a large dust cloud that covered the Earth for many years. The dust cloud may have caused plants to not receive sunlight and the large plant eaters, or herbivores, may have died off, followed by the large meat eaters, or carnivores. This theory may or may not be true, but it is one explanation as to why these giant reptiles no longer inhabit the Earth.
