An iguana is part of the lizard family. Marine iguanas are strange lizards. They are called diving dragons. They jump off rocks and dive into the water to find food. Now scientists have found an amazing fact about marine iguanas. Some can make themselves shrink when food is hard to find! When their food supply returns, they grow back to normal size.

The chicken makes you stronger. The noodles help your body take in salt and water. You may need this extra salt and water when you are sick. Chicken soup just may be the perfect medicine.

Ellen Ochoa always loved to learn. As a child she read books and studied music. Learning can lead to great things. When she was older, Ellen’s love for learning led her down a surprising path. She signed on as an astronaut! As she flew into the sky on the shuttle Discovery, Ellen Ochoa became the first Hispanic woman in space.

In 1902 Mary Bethune moved to Florida. She had only $1.50 in her purse. But she had a dream. She was a teacher. She wanted to start a school for young African Americans. Mary built her school. It was on what had once been a landfill. The school was Bethune College. It is now Bethune-Cookman College. Mary helped educate thousands of African Americans.
