A fact or thing that you are certain will happen in the future:

• The moon is going to be full in a few days.

• I'm looking out the window.

• The moon isn't full tonight.

• There is a full moon about once every 28 days.

A prediction about something you are quite sure will happen in the future:

• He never studies, so he fails a lot of his classes.

• He's not doing well in his history class at the moment.

• He didn't study for the exam, so he probably isn't going to pass the class.

• He won't pass the class because he hasn't studied all semester.

A future plan or thing that you have already decided or already arranged:
