This reconstruction plan offered a pardon to all white southerners except Confederate leaders and wealthy planters and allowed Southern states to create new governments. It also took land from the newly Freedmen and gave it back to Southerners.

This is a system of labor in which a landowner rents land to a tenant. In return, the tenant shares a portion of the crop grown back to the landowner at the end of the season.

This plan granted forgiveness to most Confederates. Allow each rebellious state to return to the Union as soon as 10% of the voters of the state had taken a loyalty oath and approved the 13th amendment ending slavery.

This was a system of labor in which convicts were rented out to corporations by the government to labor for free. Those arrested were often falsely convicted or convicted of very minor crimes.
