Classroom Expectations

How are you to enter my classroom?

• Loudly and pushing others

• Calmly and quietly

• No talking at all and no running

Once you come into class what are you supposed to do?

• Read the whiteboard and start on the Bell Work

• Talk to my friends until Ms. Johnson starts class.

• Play non academic games on the Chromebook

What are you to do when I am talking to the class?

• Put my head down.

• Draw on paper.

• Give you my attention to what is being said.

Where should cell phones be kept during class?

• They are to be left at home.

• In my locker or in my backpack (TURNED OFF)

• At the front office or give it to the teacher

Who dismisses you at the end of class?

• Ms. Johnson does

• The birthday student of the given day.

• The bell

What are you supposed to do about  your work when you are absent?

• I tell my mom to email you for my missing assignments.

• I do not have to make up missing assignments.

• Collect missing assignments from the crate by the door

Why do you think you are expected to come in quietly?

• To get to work right away and not lose any time.

• To be respectful to those that are already working.

• To maximize the amount of time you have to finish assignments in class.

• All of these!

What should you do before leaving Ms. Johnson's class?

• Make sure the desks are put back

• Desks are clear of materials, writing, and drawings

• Trash is picked up around classroom

• All of these!

When should you be on your computers during class?

• Only when instructed to do so.

• Right when you enter class.

• Whenever you want.

• Never.

• Detention
