When treating a burn you should not:

Break​ (a)  

Rub in​ (b)  

Apply ​ ​ (c)  

• Blisters
• Ointment
• Ice
• A Sweat
• A Non-stick dressing

A crushing force should

• Be removed as soon as possible

• Be Removed only if it has been in place for less than 15 minutes

• Not be removed

When flushing an eye the casualty should be positioned with the injured eye

• Upper most so the fluid can run from the injured eye down to the uninjured eye

• Downward so the fluid runs away from the good eye

• Either is fine

• The eye should not be flushed

If you are suffering pain, pressure, heaviness or tightness in your chest, neck, jaw, arm, back or shoulders and may also be feeling nauseous, clammy, dizzy or/and short of breath you may be suffering a heart attack so:

​ (b)   and tell somebody

​ (c)   urgently if symptoms are ​ (d)   or have lasted​ (e)  

• STOP
• TALK
• CALL 000
• getting worse
• more than 10 minutes

If someone is having a stroke think FAST

• FACE: check for facial droop

• 
• ARMS: can the casualty raise both arms equally

• 
• SPEECH: Is their speech clear and can the casualty understand you

• 
• TIME: Call 000 for urgent medical attention
