In the second part, you will have

• no time to prepare

• 30 seconds to prepare

• 60 seconds to prepare

After preparation, you will then talk for a maximum of

• 1 minute

• 2 minutes

• 3 minutes

In the last part of the test you will

• discuss questions based loosely on the Part 2 topic.

• discuss your reasons for taking IELTS

• discuss your plans and ambitions

The test is recorded

• so you can have a copy

• because it is always marked twice

• in case it needs to be re-marked
