The position of the spout of the milk jug will determine where you pour your art. To start a heart you will want to place the tip of the spout where you want the top of your design to be. So if the heart is to be centred, you'll need to place the tip of the spout above centre and not too close to the side of the cup/mug.

Why does height matter when pouring latte art?

• If you pour from too far away the milk will mix with the espresso instead of sitting on top.
