When do we NEVER hold up our finger signals?

• When we are working independently.

• When the teacher is teaching or explaining.

• When you're cranky.

• When you're happy.

When you have a problem with someone, what are the correct choices?

• Use a feeling word..."You made me feel sad."

• Walk away.

• Tell on them.

• Pick a different activity.

What is Mr. Miller's expectation for me?

• I will always get the answer right.

• I will always show my best effort.

• I will get straight A's.

• I will participate the best I can.

Why?

• Sometimes we learn math by failing first, then figuring out what we did wrong.

• We can learn math from others, sometimes better than from the teacher.

• The only way you can ever fail is if you don't try.

• Voices off, face forward, hands to ourselves.
